Some time back Mr. Gulab Nabi Azad indicated his keenness on family control measures and popularizing TV in village folks as a tool to check population in rural India. I think time is ripe for him to work out a plan for fixing reasonable targets for population control if we have to survive as a nation. A modest target 130 Crores by 2015 and 100 Crores by 2030 population mark would be good enough. Experts can give more serious thought and work out proper figures which can be achieved.
After all explosion of population is doing all good being done on the developmental front leave aside point of global warming and burdening mother earth.
After Sanjay Gandhi’s experiment of population control probably it would be indeed very difficult to talk the subject matter for the Indian National Congress party, but I think this has to done. Other parties should join this debate and I think it would be fair if this is debated in Parliament and broad based policy is decided.
People have to be first nationalist then any thing else. Religion and its odd practices have to keep off for a while. It’s very important and this issue can not be kept under the carpet. We as elite netizens can join this debate and contribute ideas as to how best this issue could be solved. Media, both print and electronics’ should also conduct programmes and debate the issue.
