With the Central Govt. and specially our Prime Minister’s keen desire to touch growth of 7-8% in Agriculture sector in coming years and to see that India is able to protect it’s interests and also able to contribute for the welfare of poor nations of the world. This sector becomes one of the most important sectors to watch.

It has been noticed from reports emerging from print and electronics media that wide ranging crimes have found easy access in this field too. It would be imperative for the Govt. to see that newer way or out of the box solution is found out to tackle this increasing menace.

Generally, all crimes are dealt with by the police. I think, it is asking for too much from the police, who are already dogged with the work pressure. I feel that when it comes to empowerment, we think of giving every thing to Panchayats. Then why not assign at least some of the duties with respect to law enforcement pertaining to Agriculture and Dairy segments of the economy. It’s easy and every one wants to grab money coming out Govt. coffers, be the Hon’ble M.P./ M.L.A. Some one needs to bell the cat.

As it has been seen in past few months that the panchayats have gone beyond their limits, and are party to killing of innocent lovers in case of inter caste/ same gotra marriages etc.

At least these institutions should come forward and give suitable awards like banning the people, who use unwanted and dangerous chemicals for the furtherance of Agricultural/ Dairy produce etc.

I have yet to see Fatwas/dictum issued for these things. Such scoundrels should not only be punished for adulteration and spreading diseases like cancer, ulcers etc. but dealt with severely.

With Haryana/Punjab/Uttar Pradesh in the lead, this can be taken as one of the important point in future, if we think of Second Green Revolution; we can not ignore such calls.

This one is from me, comments from public, who remain normally moot spectators against such crimes, can come forward and may be one day there would be some solution which might work and give some satisfactory answer.

Only on hopes against hope, we have survived so far and will survive...
